The renovation of the Vidikovac near the cable car station on Trebevic Mountain is underway. The first phase of construction has been completed, and opening is planned for this year, Biznis Info reports.

The facility is so designed that it will perfectly blend into the natural environment. It will meet the highest European and world standards.

“It is basically a business building, with amenities such as a restaurant, conference rooms, children’s playrooms,”said Selma Beciragic from the city administration.

The roof is unusual for mountainous areas: it is a flat roof where visitors can walk and offers a view of the city.

Mayor Abdulah Skaka says Vidikovac restaurant will be completely built from the proceeds of public company Public Enterprise Sarajevo.

“This is how we reinvest this money and create new value. We plan to open this facility in 2020 and thus complete the second cycle of construction of the facilities at Trebevic. This is followed by the construction of walkways, trim tracks, playgrounds,” Skaka emphasized.
