Reaching the Paris climate agreement is a chance for B&H, which is sensitive to climate change, as announced from the Embassy of France in B&H.
The announcement emphasized that the analysis of the Global Climate Risk Index showed that B&H was one of the three countries in the world that have been affected the most by climate changes in 2014.
The Embassy of France reminded that the Paris climate agreement was signed on the 12th of December, and it represents a historic success since it is the first global agreement on climate change which was accepted by 195 countries, including B&H, after long negotiations held under the chairmanship of France.
This agreement is only the first stage, and all countries will start with mandatory audit requirements until 2020, with the goal of limiting the temperature rise on 1.5 degrees.
France, as chair of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 21) until December 2016, will continue to support B&H in the process of ratification and implementation of the Paris Agreement, as emphasized in the announcement.
