Around seven million BAM needs to be invested in the Airport Banja Luka, due to a better cargo traffic, but the passenger service as well as announced yesterday after the meeting of the entity Prime Minister, Zeljka Cvijanovic, Minister of Transport and Communications, Nedjo Tninic and administration of this company.
It was also talked about projects of the expansion, warehouses, airport building and investments in the equipment but also ensuring a better logistics.
Director of the only airport in RS, Miroslav Janjic expects investments to ensure the Airport in Banja Luka to be actively included in the international traffic.
Cvijanovic also said that there is a great chance for this airport to be more developed.
“That won’t be possible to realize only with our own forces. Because of that, we rely on the planned projects with the Russian partners and arrangements that include their stronger presence. We are interested for this to primarily be a location from which we transport the goods“, said Cvijanovic to reporters.
Besides with Turkey, a similar contract with Russian and several more companies was planned, related to cargo services from the Airport Banja Luka.
Arrangement with Turkey on the export of meat, as Cvijanovic said, so far proved to be very profitable. In the previous nine month, 101 cargo flihts were carried ut, and 4 and a half tons of meat were exported.
