The “Hrvoje” group, with their song “100 years of meting”, won the Grand Prix at this year’s 19th international music festival “Melodies of Mostar” that was held last night in the Hrvatski Dom Stjepan Kosač (house of culture) in Mostar.
The author of the song is Željko Kozina, and the music by Ranko Boban, a duo that composed the song “Hercegovina u srcu” (Herzegovina in the heart).
“Hrvoje” group is one of the oldest groups in Herzegovina and was founded in 1990 in the framework of the Croatian Music Society “Hrvoje” (founded 1888).
The group had a number of performances in BiH, Croatia, the US, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
Žanamari & J’Animals won the award for best interpretation of the song “Slobodan Pad” (free fall), and Alen Slavica won for the best song “Kad sam s tobom tuga prestaje” (When I am with you sorrow stops).
The award for best arrangement was given to Zoran Jelenković for the song “Sanjam” (I am dreaming), while the best choreography was given to Zdravko Krtalić – Pipa.
A special award from Mostar was presented by the Mayor Ljubo Bešlić to Slovenian musicians Tanja Žagor, who sang “Zaljubljena u zivot” (in love with life).
The audience award was given to Željko Ćorluka Čupo, Bruno Baković, Dean Dvornik, Ivan Mikulić, Jasmin Fehrić and Ivo Amulić.
