Commemoration for the former Miss Yugoslavia Dinka Delic, who died in Sarajevo on March 11th, was held yesterday in the large hall of the Bosnian National Theatre in Zenica, announces Anadolu Agency (AA). During the commemoration, which started with a moment of silence and a prayer, members of the family, friends, and acquaintances said the final goodbye to Dinka Delic, with their eyes full of tears. At the beginning of the commemoration, actress Sabina Kulenovic, with tears in her eyes, remembered the most beautiful woman in Yugoslavia in 1984.
“In 1984, Zenica was honored to be the home of the most beautiful girl, among 21 million citizens of Yugoslavia”, said Kulenovic.
Dinka’s daughter Naomi also spoke at the commemoration. Among other things, she said she did not know about her mother’s title until the end of high school. Dinka finished elementary and high school in Zenica. Besides school, she liked basketball and rhythmic gymnastics, and trained both.
In year 1984, she was crowned Miss Yugoslavia, and the title opened her way to the world runways. After the commemoration the funeral service was held and she was buried at Prasnice City Cemetery.
