The famous singer Dino Merlin once went through a difficult period, when he was thinking of giving up music.

Dino Merlin then struggled with depression, which is still a big problem for many around the world.

“In one period of my life, I was seriously ill. I had severe depression. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. It manifested itself in the way that I felt worthless,” said the singer.

“Absolutely nothing interested me, life and death were the same for me. I was simply just a plant. It was a period when I wanted to give up on music and all sorts of things came to my mind then, but, by some miracle, I got got better, ” Merlin pointed out.

“I decided to continue and in 2000 I recorded the album ‘Sredinom’ (eng. Through the middle), which I am very proud of,” added the musician.

In one of the interviews, Merlin told the secret of his success, as well as what he is most proud of.

“Complete dedication to the work you are doing, honesty, and the courage to experiment is key for me, that you are always able to surprise yourself. You will never do a good thing if you isolate yourself if you don’t get out of your comfort zone. I am very proud of my children who chose their own path and got an education. I know what is important and what is unimportant in life. I have always tried to please many, but not everyone. I always try to be in solidarity with people, I’m quite a people person and I want to contribute to everyone. If I can help someone in any way, I’m here”, said Dino Merlin at the time, N1 reports.
