In the context of the civic information campaign “Popismonitor”, the Association of citizens “Žašto ne” (Why not) and the Coalition Equality, today in Sarajevo organized a street action.
It is a campaign that aims citizens of B&H which are few weeks ahead of census of population, households and dwellings, in order to approach this issue.
“We have launched the website popismonitor.ba that every citizen in B&H can be informed about the census, and from 1st October they will be able to report the irregularity and the possible abuses during the compilation from 1st to 15 October“, stated for reporters Dalio Sijah, the team member of “popisMonitor.ba”.
As part of this action, citizens can have a direct contact with activists and can find out all the details about the census.
“What is more interesting for the citizens is the Law on the census for giving incorrect responses and there is foreseen monetary sanctions ranging from 100 to 10.000 KM”, says Sijah.
Via the website popismonitor.ba every citizen in B&H can be informed about the census, and from 1st October they can easily be able to report the irregularity of enumerators and possible abuses during the registration from 1st to 15th October.
After this, the actions will be held in the municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, Visoko, Kakanj, Ilijaš, Konjic, Goražde and Žepče, and until the beginning of the census will be held 30 actions across the country.
