Incumbent Presidency of BiH held only One Session after Elections

The incumbent Presidency of BiH in the convocation of Milorad Dodik, Sefik Dzaferovic and Zeljko Komsic had just one regular session since the end of the mandate on November 20thlast year.

The session was held on December 12th, which means that it was the first and the last session.

As responsible for such a situation, member of the BiH Presidency, Šefik Džaferović, called on President Milorad Dodik yesterday.

“The Presidency of BiH has not held a regular session since December last year, although sessions should normally take place every 14 days, with dozens of materials awaiting the Presidency’s decision. Although Dodik should do it, he did not schedule a special session on my specific request, requesting that the Presidency take an official position on the continuation of the construction of the Peljesac Bridge and to establish an opinion on the information regarding the recruitment of BiH citizens by the Croatian Security and Intelligence Agency, and to consider possible diplomatic measures,” Dzaferovic emphasized.

Dodik, on the other hand, claims that he does not see the reason for the Presidency to hold a meeting on any other issue until the issue of mandate for the BiH Council of Ministers is resolved.

“It is only important for the other two members of the Presidency to agree to hold the session and to finish it. It was unnecessary to schedule a session where they would not decide on the subject. When we agree and when they want to decide, I can set up a session on any day, “Dodik said recently.

The Presidency of BiH held only two extraordinary sessions on December 18thand on March 8ththis year. The first was the dismissal of numerous BiH ambassadors, and the other requested information from the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the allegations made on the activities of the Security Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Consulate General in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
