Indirect Taxation Authority seized Goods in Amount of 36,000 BAM

Authorized officers of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) seized various goods in the amount of 36,000 BAM in two separate actions in the area of ​​the Tuzla regional center and imposed sanctions worth 9,200 BAM.

They confiscated 2,701 packs of cigarettes, which were not marked with excise stamps issued by the ITA, but were sold on the “black market”. The cigarettes were seized from seven persons against whom legal measures and actions were taken, the ITA said.

The activities were carried out in cooperation with the members of the Ministry of the Interior of Tuzla Canton and officials of the Cantonal Inspection Directorate.

In addition, authorized ITA officers from the regional centers of Tuzla and Sarajevo, in cooperation with officials of the BiH Border Police, carried out reinforced measures to control passengers and goods at border crossings and road communications.

Seven violations were discovered and various goods were seized such as laptops, mini laptops, LED TVs, compressors and similar These were goods on which import duties had to be paid upon import into BiH, the ITA notes.
