Intensify Economic Cooperation Between BiH and Australia

Lagumdzija-AustralijaThe Deputy Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija received yesterday in Sarajevo the Ambassador of Australia to BiH with a seat in Vienna David Stuart.

They spoke of the good bilateral relations between BiH and Australia, and expressed interest to intensify economic cooperation and bilateral visits at a high level.

Minister Lagumdžija welcomed the recognition of driving licenses issued in BiH, as well as the forthcoming signing of the Agreement on health insurance between BiH and Australia, as well as other agreements in the process of protecting the interests of the two countries and to regulate the status issues of a number of BiH diaspora that live in Australia.

Lagumdžija spoke to Ambassador Stuart about the current political situation in our country, state reform processes and and meeting the foreign policy priorities of BIH. He stated the committment of BiH to the Euro-Atlantic path and the developing of good neighborly relations.

He expressed appreciation for the overall committment and friendly relations of BiH and Australia, and expressed interest to contineu Australia’s support in BiH building a democratic country and to integrate into Euro-Atlantic institutions.

They exchanged opinions on the foreign policy priorities of both countries and of the current events throughout the world, with a particular focus on Syria, the Middle East and the Balkans.
