Interest of Tawazun Holding for Investment and Cooperation with B&H

mvp bihDeputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of B&H Zlatko Lagumdžija held a meeting in Sarajevo yesterday with a high delegation o Tawazun Holding from Abu Dhabi, led by Director of the company Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri.

Tawazun Holding Abu Dhabi is an investment organization focused on long-term development of industrial production and technological opportunities and knowledge transfer in Abu Dhabi, with a particular emphasis on the defense sector.

This meeting followed the successful visit of the B&H delegation, led by Minister Lagumdžija, to the United Arab Emirates, on which occasion a business forum was organized where the potentials of B&H companies was presented.

The visit of this high delegation shows the high interest of Tawazun Holding for investment and cooperation in B&H.

Director Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri presented the work of the group and announced the possibility of achieving business cooperation with B&H companies.

One of the areas of their interest, in which business cooperation could soon be established, is the segment of research and development, as well as the use of laboratories for defense technology.

Huge interest for B&H know-how was expressed, as well as for companies from the defense industry in B&H.

After wishing them a warm welcome, Lagumdžija welcomed the interest of Tawazan Holding to invest in B&H and commented on the recent visit to the UAE.

Lagumdžija stressed that the visit of Tawazun Holding is one more result in a series of results for more intensive cooperation between the UAE and B&H, and stressed the importance of continuing the development of relations between the two countries, especially in the area of economy and investment.

In this context, he emphasized the importance of the prompt signing of an Investment Protection Agreement, which could result in new investments of companies from the UAE in B&H.

They agreed that the common interest is for an immediate adoption of direct flights between B&H and the UAE, and they spoke about investing in B&H Airlines.

Lagumdžija said that B&H is among the countries with enviable potential in the defense industry and has extensive experience and a skilled work force in this industry.

He stressed the favorable geostrategic position of B&H, and stressed the benefits for companies that produce in B&H and export to the EU.

Lagumdžija informed his guests about the opportunities to invest in the tourism sector, infrastructure and energy, and with the goal to improve economic cooperation of the two countries.

Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri said that this was his first visit to B&H and that he expects an intensification of cooperation of companies in the future, announced the B&H Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
