The capital of BiH this winter will offer a lot of interesting content to people of Sarajevo, as well as tourists who decide to visit Sarajevo.
Thus, as in the last few years, will be organized the Sarajevo Holiday Market, which will offer various interesting contents to the citizens of Sarajevo and guests from the 7th of December this year until mid-January 2017.
EcoKaljic Company is engaged in decorating trees and Christmas trees before holidays within the Holiday Market, which is held at a new location in Sarajevo this year, on Marijin Dvor in the park Hastahana,” as confirmed by the owner of EcoKaljic Company, Ismar Kaljic.
He noted that the Holiday Market will offer ice rink for ice skating this year, and that all interested visitors will be able to use it free of charge.
On the occasion of the New Year holidays, the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo this year is planning setting of winter city under the name “Ice Spell” on Wilson’s Promenade from the 25th of December 2016 to the 25th of January 2017.
Winter city will offer a variety of contents for all ages, including ice rink with all equipment, skates, decorated wooden houses, covered stands and a large Christmas tree, while the space in the immediate vicinity will be also decorated in order to evoke festive atmosphere on the most popular promenade in its full glory.
“The project, in this period of the year, will attract a large number of visitors, beautify the tourist offer of the city and revive Wilson’s Promenade during winter season as well,” as stated from the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.
The Municipality of Novo Sarajevo allocated 82,000 BAM for this purpose.
Those who decide to spend the New Year’s Eve in Sarajevo will entertain famous BH singer and songwriter Dino Merlin. Public celebration of New Year’s Eve 2017 will be organized on the Square of BiH.
Within the program of the celebration of the New Year’s Eve, the first will perform a DJ duo, then the band Divanhana and finally Dino Merlin.
The city of Sarajevo is organizing its now traditional 16th New Year’s Eve celebration in the open.
The New Year’s Eve celebration is traditionally organized by the City Administration of Sarajevo with the financial support of the Government of Canton Sarajevo and four city municipalities – Stari Grad, Centar, Novi Grad and Novo Sarajevo.
The capital of BiH, according to the organizers, will be the regional center when it comes to New Year’s Eve celebration, and performance by Dino Merlin will attract large numbers of tourists as well.
