Interesting Love Story of a Bosnian Woman and an Irishman

coupleAt the home of Irma and Johnny in the Irish city of Galway, tonight they will cheer apart. Irma is from Bihac and she will cheer for the national team of B&H, and her husband will cheer for the colors of his country, and wave the flag of Ireland. Play-off match between these two teams will be played tonight at Bilino Polje in Zenica, at 8.45 p.m.

As a law student in Graz in Austria, Irma Joyce was working in the Irish pub from time to time where she met Johnny. They were hanging around after work and organizing football tournaments for humanitarian organizations, and that eventually grew into a relationship.

“We married in Bihac in 2012. Johnny eventually became homesick so we decided to return to Ireland in his hometown Galway. The plan was to stay in Ireland for a year because I was not sure that I will like it and it is way too far from my home. In the meantime I got the job, and we’re still here. Besides the weather, I have no other complaints,” said Irma.

She noted that Irish are very similar to us by mentality, they are relaxed and love to hang out.

Irma is already singing our cheering songs, and she said that Johnny knows them too and gets upset when he forgets for a moment and starts singing them as well.
