gasovod-bricks-989Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline (IAP) will pass through the territory of BiH, as decided at the meeting of the Consulting Council for the construction of the Southern gas corridor, which was held in the capital of Azerbaijan.

The planned route of the IAP, which was supposed to bypass our country, was changed, the one along the Adriatic coast of Croatia. Also, the changed route of the pipeline through BiH received the support of the Western Balkans Investment Fund (WBIF), whose representatives expressed their willingness to approve a grant of 2.5 billion EUR for the realization of this project.

Ionian-Adriatic pipeline will be connected to the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in the Albanian town of Fieri, after which it will continue through Montenegro, BiH, and enter the EU on the north of our country and thus provide EU countries with supplies of Azerbaijani gas.
