Israel used part of the Iraqi territory under the control of the United States of America to attack Iran, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces announced.
“Israel used the territory in Iraq controlled by the US military, one hundred kilometers from the Iranian border, to carry out the attack,” they stated in the statement.
The main target of the Israeli attack were the radars located in the border provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam, the statement said, adding that the damage was limited thanks to the timely actions of the Iranian air defense.
The Israel Defense Forces announced earlier that it attacked military targets in Iran in response to the October 1 attacks on Israel.
