Israel reported a new wave of missile attacks from Iran on Sunday, amid an increasingly fierce escalation in the conflict between the two regional powers.
The Israeli military said in a statement that sirens were sounded in several parts of the country after a salvo of missiles was fired from Iran.
“The air force is currently working to intercept and strike wherever necessary to eliminate the threat,” the statement added.
According to the Israeli daily “Mariv,” nearly 50 missiles were fired at the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv.
