Israel: We have some Disagreements with the US, there will be no Ceasefire in Gaza

Israeli Government Spokesman Ofir Gendelman stated that there are certain disagreements between Israel and the United States of America (USA) and that the Israeli authorities will not allow a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip at this time.

Gendelman told a news conference via the Zoom video conferencing platform that a ceasefire would give Hamas a chance to regroup and relax, so Israel would not allow it.

“There can be a ceasefire after we destroy Hamas,” Gendelman said.

He pointed out that the US sided with Israel against pressure to stop the war against Hamas, but that there were also some disagreements between the two countries.

“Yes, there are disagreements between us and Washington regarding the process after the war. However, we hope that we can reach a common understanding on this issue as well,” Gendelman concluded, AA writes.
