Israeli Attacks on Gaza Leave 55,959 Dead

At least 55.959 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza since October 2023, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.

The statement says that in the past 24 hours, 51 bodies have been brought to hospitals, and 104 people have been injured, bringing the total number of wounded since the beginning of the attacks to 131.242.

“Numerous victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and rescuers cannot reach them,“ the statement adds.

On March 18th, the Israeli army resumed its attacks on Gaza, thereby violating the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that came into effect in January. Since then, 5.647 people have been killed and 19.201 injured in Gaza.

As the relentless and deadly bombing in Gaza intensifies, families are starving and being denied basic means of survival, the United Nations (UN) and humanitarian agencies have warned.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants in November last year for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also facing genocide charges before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
