Israeli far-right Minister of Public Security Itamar Ben-Gvir has argued that the “right solution” to end overcrowding in Israeli prisons is to implement the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners whom he defines as “terrorists.”

In a statement posted on his X account, Ben-Gvir, the leader of the far-right Jewish Power party, expressed his satisfaction that the Israeli government approved a proposal to build an additional 936 detention facilities for Palestinian prisoners.

“The additional construction will allow for the accommodation of a greater number of terrorists in prison and will partially solve the prison overcrowding crisis,” said Ben-Gvir.

He added that “the death penalty for Palestinians is the right solution to the problem of prison overcrowding.”, Klix.ba reports.
