Hundreds of Israeli protesters have been blocking aid trucks to Gaza for the third day.
Demonstrators, including families of hostages still being held in Gaza, waved Israeli flags at the Kerem Shalom border crossing between Israel and Gaza and chanted against “aiding the enemy”.
They say aid to Gaza will not arrive until all the hostages are freed, according to the BBC.
This comes despite a US demand that aid be allowed to enter Gaza civilians “without interruption”.
For the third day in a row, protesters gathered at the Kerem Shalom border crossing to try to prevent humanitarian aid from entering the enclave.
A line of trucks carrying aid supplies, some with Egyptian flags, stood at the crossing for hours as protesters called on the government to halt aid deliveries until the remaining prisoners held by Hamas were freed.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said only nine trucks managed to cross into Kerem Shalom on Wednesday, while 114 were diverted to the Rafah crossing in Egypt.
The UN said only 153 trucks had entered Gaza on Wednesday, well below what had been coming in in recent weeks.
