The director of the Indirect Taxation Administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zoran Tegeltija, pointed out today that the support of competent institutions is needed for employment and for changes in legal solutions, and the ITA will look for the best students and young people who will work on the development of the Administration.

Tegeltija emphasized that in the month and a half that he has been in charge of the ITA, he has reached out for personnel changes in certain organizational units, and that such practice will be continued.

“No one who violates the law in any way will stay at the ITA,” said Tegeltija.

He appealed that the Management Board of ITA make a decision on the distribution of toll revenue, because blocking the distribution of that money is the worst possible option.

“We expect a continuation of the revenue growth trend. In our plans for this year, the most revenue should be collected in September, 940 million BAM. The priority is to create fiscal stability within BiH by increased revenue collection,” said Tegeltija.

Taxpayers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina paid 4,245,369,659 BAM of public revenues in the period January-July this year, which is 568,378,832 BAM more or 15.46 percent more than the same period last year. and compared to January-July 2019, more by 1,195,523,182 BAM or by 39.20 percent.

In seven months of this year (January-July), contributions for pension and disability insurance, health insurance and contributions for unemployment were collected in the total amount of 2,854,839,849 BAM.

Contributions for PIO/MIO were collected in the amount of 1,597,374,256 BAM, contributions for health insurance 1,124,547,539 BAM, and contributions for unemployment insurance in the amount of 132,918,054 BAM.

The number of employees in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina according to the place of residence of the employees on July 31 of this year was 541,808.

That number was higher by 6,565 compared to the data from July 31 last year, when there were 535,243 employed persons. The number of employees on July 31 of this year was lower by 1,032 compared to June 30 of this year when the number of employed was 542,840, the FBiH Tax Administration announced.
