ITA reveals the Number of Vehicles imported in BiH

In 2025, 95.421 vehicles were imported into Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), which is 6.214 more than in the previous year, the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH confirmed.

The total value of imported vehicles amounted to 1.145.335.182.32 BAM, of which 262.720.176.34 BAM in duties was paid.

Of the total number, 9.292 were new vehicles, while 86.129 were used.

Last year, 3.743 hybrid vehicles were imported, of which 2.043 were new, and 1.700 were used.

This represents a significant increase compared to 2024, when 2.408 hybrid-powered vehicles were imported.

When it comes to electric vehicles, the situation is the opposite, as 207 were imported in 2025, which is fewer than the year before, when 230 such vehicles were imported.

According to BIHAMK data, during 2025, a total of 1.355.856 road vehicles were registered in BiH, which represents an increase of 60.632 vehicles, or 4.68 percent, compared to the previous year.

The average age of road motor vehicles in BiH is 17 years.
