Italians give up 60 Million BAM of Investment in Banja Luka

Two days ago, the owner of the Italian company PMP Industries S.p.A. Francesco Poco personally informed Milorad Dodik about giving up new investments in Republika Srpska (RS).

Dodik’s cabinet announced that Poco said that his company had previously expressed interest in the Ramici Industrial Zone in the Banja Luka area, but that their team, inspecting the location, found that there were no adequate conditions they needed and that they were withdrawing its earlier interest in the site.

Namely, he expressed interest and informed the SNSD leader that he would continue to search for an adequate location to invest in the project. However, Dodik’s cabinet stated that there is satisfaction because the Italian investor plans to continue doing business in the RS.

The President of the PDP, Branislav Borenovic, reacted to this information yesterday.

“The citizens of Banja Luka must know that he stopped the investment of 60 million BAM. And that is because of his vanity and frustration that the citizens voluntarily elected Mayor Stanivukovic. Dodik does not like our people, he is arrogant, he looks our people from his planes and helicopters, “ Borenovic said.

He reminded that Banja Luka decided and rejected Dodik in 2018, confirmed it in 2020 and that it will do the same again in October, like the entire RS.

“He is fulfilling his terrible threats from election night. In addition to this investment, they have so far prevented subsidies for the economy in Banja Luka, rejected a plan to finance youth organizations, rejected a plan for infrastructure projects, changed the real estate tax rate, and reduced the budget for four million. Let him use force against the citizens while he still can, but that will not last for long. His time is running out, “ noted Borenovic.

In the end, he said that it was a shame that Dodik was proud to announce the departure of another investor.
