Italy won Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 in Euro 2020 Group J qualifier

Italy won Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) 3-0 in Euro 2020 Group J qualifier on Friday evening in Zenica, a city located some 70 kilometres northwest of the capital Sarajevo.

Host team used the second minute of the first half to start an attack when Edin Visca and Edin Dzeko headed for a goal, but Dzeko was caught offside.

Francesco Acerbi from the visiting team opened the scoring in the 21stminute, shooting from the centre to the bottom right corner and assisted by Nicolo Barella, firing Italy into the lead.

Visiting team members continued strong pressure and offensive play, ending in another score in 37thminute when Lorenzo Insigne from the visiting team shot from the centre to the bottom left corner.

Host team continued to attempt to score a goal, with Edin Dzeko, Miralem Pjanic and Adnan Kovacevic, but all attempts were saved by Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Seven minutes after the beginning of the second half, Andrea Belotti from the visiting team scores a third goal for Italy after he shot from outside to the bottom right corner.

In 61stminute, BiH’s team selector Robert Prosinecki makes substitution and Elvis Saric replaces Muhamed Besic and  Armin Hodzic replaces Edin Visca.

The rest of the second half was an even play by both teams, with several attempts missed and blocked on the goal.

In 86thminute, Italian team selector Robert Mancini makes substitution when Pierluigi Gollini replaces Gianluigi Donnarumma and Gaetano Castrovilli replaces Lorenzo Insigne.

Italy is on the first place with 27 points, Finland is on the second place with 18 points while BiH is on the fifth place with 10 points.

BiH will play the last qualifying match in Vaduz against Liechtenstein after three days.
