SDA President Bakir Izetbegović met today with the Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative, Luigi Soreca. They discussed the political situation following the General Elections, the formation of government, and the conditions for opening accession negotiations.

According to a statement from the SDA, the meeting addressed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the results of the recent General Elections, and the upcoming process of forming government at all levels.

Special attention was devoted to BiH’s European path, with a focus on fulfilling the remaining conditions for opening accession negotiations with the European Union.
Izetbegović and Soreca also discussed the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans—specifically, the conditions BiH must meet in order to access the funds allocated to it.
It was emphasized that all remaining obligations must be implemented without delay so that BiH can utilize European funds for economic development, infrastructure improvements, and a better standard of living for its citizens.
