SDA President Bakir Izetbegović spoke after a telephone conversation with SNSD President Milorad Dodik, which took place after his guest appearance on our television program.
Let us remind you that in the “Plenum” show, Izetbegović spoke about the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the need, as he stated, for the institutions of the rule of law to start implementing laws, also referring to Dodik’s political role. His statements provoked a reaction from the SNSD leader, who interpreted them as a threat and then contacted him by phone.
Dodik previously announced that he had spoken with Izetbegović and stated that they spoke after his television appearance, but without detailing the content of the conversation. After that, Izetbegović confirmed via social networks that the conversation took place, stressing that he repeated to Dodik the views he had expressed publicly before.
“After last night’s interview on Federal Television, in which I repeated that Milorad Dodik must be removed from politics, as ordered by the court verdict, and that he is the biggest pest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, today I answered his nervous phone call,” stated Izetbegović.
He added that during the conversation he repeated everything he thinks about Dodik and the policy he represents.
“Everything that I think, that I have said publicly about him and his politics up to now, and even more, I repeated to him during the telephone conversation,” said the leader of the SDA.
At the same time, he expressed his belief that the conversation was recorded and called on Dodik to publish its complete version, if there is a recording.
“Given that the conversation was obviously recorded by Dodik, I urge him not to censor the recording, but to publish it in its entirety,” stated Izetbegović.
The exchange of messages between the two political leaders is a continuation of the harsh rhetoric that has been dominating the political scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina in recent days, and which was additionally intensified after Izetbegović’s television appearance and the reactions that followed from SNSD.
