izetbegovic-boMember of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović hosted the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to BiH Chen Bo. He informed the Ambassador about the dynamics of the relations in the region and within BiH, especially highlighting the problem of unconstitutional and anti-Dayton activities of certain individuals in BiH and the phenomenon of the awarding of entity decorations to convicted war criminals. Izetbegović said that the return to the rhetoric of the conflicts from the past represents a concerning trend.

Ambassador Chen Bo informed Izetbegović about the progress in the preparations for the project of the construction of the Block 7 in the Thermal Power Plant Tuzla, whose implementation begins this summer. Bo emphasized that China finds this project very significant and expressed hope that the decisions by the Government of FBiH and the Parliament of FBiH will enable the timely and successful implementation of the project.

Bo and Izetbegović also discussed the preparations for the implementation of the project of the Thermal Power Plant Banovići, which is in the final stage of the negotiations for a loan. The interlocutors agreed that these projects are a foundation for even stronger cooperation on the implementation of infrastructure projects in the future. Ambassador Bo emphasized that the economic cooperation between the two countries has a positive tendency.
