On the 14th and 15th May 2024, Ambassador KINEFUCHI attended the handover ceremonies of an Ambulance vehicle and medical equipment to the Health Care Centre Kozma i Damjan in Kozarska Dubica and Health Care Centre in Stanari.

Mr. Reljic, mayor of Kozarska Dubica, was grateful for Japan’s continued assistance to the health care sector in Kozarska Dubica, since this donation marks the third time that Japan has provided assistance. Mr. Babić, director of the Health Care Centre Kozma i Damjan in Kozarska Dubica explained that the donated ambulance vehicle will ensure safe and efficient emergency transport. Additionally, the medical equipment including a slit lamp will enable the resumption of ophthalmology services at the health care center.

At the Health Care Centre in Stanari, Mr. Celic, mayor of Stanari expressed delight in establishing a relationship between Stanari and the Embassy of Japan, with hopes for further development. Mr. Jerinic, director of the Health Care Center in Stanari showed gratitude towards the donation which will enable proper responding to all the needs of emergency transportation.

The population of Stanari municipality is increasing due to the opening of the industrial zone, hence an increase in emergency transportations compared to before is expected.

Ambassador KINEFUCHI expressed his hope that both assistances will bring great benefit to the residents of Kozarska Dubica, Stanari and beyond.

Through the program “Basic Grant of Assistance for Human Security Projects (GAGP)” Japan granted 65,214 Euro (approx. 127,550 BAM) to the Health Care Center Kozma i Damjan in Kozarska Dubica and 71,586 Euro (approx. 140,000 BAM) to the Health Care Center in Stanari for equipping with an ambulance vehicle and medical equipment. Through these two projects, more than 1,000 people will benefit from the donations.
