Jo_LomasJo Lomas, British Embassy Sarajevo Chargé d’Affaires a.i., met yesterday with Stjepan Mikić, the President of the BiH Central Election Commission, and Irena Hadžiabdić, member of the Commission, to discuss preparations for the forthcoming General Elections in 2014.

Jo Lomas said, “The BiH Central Election Commission is working hard to create the conditions needed for holding the elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is essential that those take place as scheduled this October. We call for all political parties to urgently reach agreement on the changes to the Election Law, which are currently being considered by the BiH Parliament.  These will allow the Central Election Commission to call elections on schedule by May.”
