Jovanović confirmes his Arrival to the Commemoration in Srebrenica

cedomirPresident of the Liberal Democratic Party Čedomir Jovanović stated last night that he received an invitation and that he is coming to the commemoration in Srebrenica on July 11.

Jovanović said that it is his human need, as well as that he has never been to Potočari before, but that he is sad to see that July 11 is politicized. “I supported the visit by Aleksandar Vučić last year and I am sorry for what happened there… I am sorry that the July 11 is politicized,” said Jovanović.

According to Jovanović, the decision that the state leadership of Serbia is not welcome in Srebrenica was reached before in order to “restore some peace”. “A decision was reached not to invite to the commemoration in Potočari the politicians who would cause a conflict due to their attitudes about what happened in Srebrenica. I think it is all bad. If their desire is that our leaders do not go, then they should respect that decision,” Jovanović said.

Jovanović added that it is his personal human need to fight against evil, to appear in Srebrenica and send a message that “in Serbia there is understanding for the pain and suffering of those people, that there is readiness and will to build our relations and preserve peace permanently”.
