radovan karadzicWar criminal Radovan Karadžić gave first interview after the verdict in The Hagze which condemned him to 40 years in prison.

In an interview for the German weekly magazine “Die Zeit”, Karadžić said that humor is the best way for him and the other inmates to express their concern and aggressiveness, as well as to set them free. He added that he often prays, plays flute, and plays tennis and football while in prison.

Karadžić said that he believes the Serb nation will remember him as a responsible civil servant, adding that the only mistake he made is related to the army.

“I often held them up and stalled them, because I trusted the foreigners and other propaganda. In that way I prevented them from achieving even better results on the battlefield,” Karadžić said.
