Do you know how the Construction of the first Trebevic Cable Car looked like?

Trebevic cable car will transport passengers and tourists from Sarajevo to this Olympic mountain again from April 6, this year.

The new cabins are already installed, and the process of their testing and preparation for the official putting into operation is currently taking place.

Sarajevans, especially generations that drove with the old cable car, are waiting for this old symbol of Sarajevo to start working again. Residents of the side of Sarajevo next to which the cable car is passing are observing the installation process with special joy.

A woman from Sarajevo shared old photographs of her father who worked on the process of installing the first cable car, which was destroyed in the war.

“My late father spent all his life on the cable car and I emotionally feel everything you are doing now. His name was Ramiz, but everyone called him Hampa. He was a good and hardworking worker, or that is at least what they say. He was a manager for many years as well. These are the only photos I have and I want to share them with you. If he was alive, I know that he would be so proud that the cable car is returning to Sarajevo. It is coming out of the ash and I would like to praise everyone who contributed to it. I wish you all the best, a proud daughter,” wrote this woman from Sarajevo.
