Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić received the letter of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jakup Redžepi.

They discussed the bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of North Macedonia, which were said to be very good and friendly and without open issues.

It was said that the good bilateral cooperation between the two countries is also evidenced by the fact that in the past period a series of meetings of the highest and highest officials took place, on a bilateral and multilateral basis, and that the continuity of meetings at all levels should be continued.

It was concluded that the trials that both countries go through on their Euro-Atlantic journey should be resolved through dialogue, in the interest of all citizens and the overall progress of the region.

They discussed BiH’s path to the EU and the upcoming session of the European Council, where negotiations on our country’s membership in the European Union are expected to open.

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić said that BiH’s foreign policy commitment is full membership in the EU and that, along with understanding the internal and external challenges the EU is facing, it is crucial for BiH to maintain the focus of the European Union.

Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Željko Komšić, expressed his gratitude to the Republic of North Macedonia for its strong support for the integration of BiH into the EU and NATO.

The ambassador pointed out that the Republic of North Macedonia strongly supports Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress towards the EU, which will contribute to the stability, security and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić wished a happy and successful mandate to the ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jakup Redžepi, who said that during his mandate he will be engaged in improving bilateral cooperation and ensuring a more prosperous future for our countries, the BiH Presidency announced.
