Chairman of the Commission of Foreign Affairs of House of Representatives of BiH Parliament Mirza Kušljugić talked with the non-resident Ambassador of Finland for BiH Pekka Metso.

Finnish ambassador expressed his interest for the Initial meeting of Chairmen of Commissions of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Croatian, Serbian and Montenegrin Parliament, which was held recently in Zagreb.

Chairman Kušljugić said that this cooperation is similar to the Nordic, Baltic of Benelux form of parliamentary coopertion in Europe and its goal is to connect the countries of region.

”All previous initiatives were a main part of European integrations, but it is important to continue with this cooperation on regional level regardless of phases or levels of integration of each country of the region with the EU”, said Kušljugić.

Kušljugić noted that aspects of cooperation that deal with the construction and energy potentials as the basis for functioning of successful economies are very important.

”My message is that we jointly need to find the path out of the economic crisis, because there are structural problems in the economies of the countries from the region which cannot be solved by itself”, noted Kušljugić.

Ambassador Metso said that Finland supports all forms of cooperation that contribute to better cooperation and understanding of countries of the region, and added that his country support any form of investments in BiH.
