Laketa: Schmidt crossed the Border Crossing as a diplomat of FR Germany, not as a Diplomat of the UN

Director of the Service for Foreign Affairs (SPS) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Žarko Laketa, issued a press release today regarding the stay of High Representative Christian Schmidt in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which he states, among other things, that “Schmidt was not appointed by an adequate UN resolution and that therefore he is not a high representative”.

The statement states that Christian Schmidt “crossed the border crossing as a representative, that is, as a diplomat of the Federal Republic of Germany, and not as a diplomat of the UN”.

Laketa also stated that “the law in this country is passed by the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska as well as the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

“Through his unauthorized activities, he leads to the collapse of the Constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since everyone believes that they can act outside the law, every representative of the Republika Srpska in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina will protect the interests of the Republika Srpska and President Milorad Dodik according to the law,” it is stated.

In the same context, at the same time, the replacement of theses is mentioned.

“We will not allow a classic exchange of theses, it is not good that we, the representatives from Republika Srpska, do not behave according to the Law, because we are currently the only ones protecting the Dayton Peace Agreement,” the director of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners said in a statement.
