BH entity of Republika Srpska recorded a total of 263,476 employed people in the month of September this year, which represents the highest number in its history, according to the Office for Statistics of the RS. This represent an increase of 5,736 employees or 2.2 % in comparison to March 2017, and an increase of  6,475 or 2.5 % when compared to the month of September last year.

When it comes to the annual average, the number of employees was increased by 2.9 % in 2017 in comparison to 2016, by 9.4 % when compared to 2012, and by 0.9 % in comparison to the year of 2007.

Prime Minister of the RS, Zeljka Cvijanovic, noted that she is very satisfied with the fact that, in accordance with previous estimates, a record number of employees was recorded in the RS.

“We are planning to go further towards the increase of the level of employment in the RS. The increase in the number of employees is happening in the real sector, since there is no increase in the number of employees in the public sector, which was put under  the control and that is one of the main goals of reform programs and economic policies,” stated Cvijanovic.
