Lejla Nikšić, the first MSc in the Air Traffic Control in the History of B&H

lejlaB&H got the first MSc in the Air Traffic Control in its history. Lejla Nikšić, a student originally from B&H who completed her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Transport and Communications, obtained her master’s degree at Anadolu Üniversitesi Havacılık ve Uzay Bilimleri Fakültesi (Anadolu University) in Eskisehir, Turkey, at the Department for Air Traffic Control. Thus, Lejla became not only the first female MSc in Air Traffic Control of B&H, but also the first Muslim woman wearing a headscarf, who succeeded in this.

Fortunately, Lejla is also supported by the fact that B&H took over the control of its skies last year in October, and we hope that Lejla will contribute to improvement of this sector.

This is a historical moment for the Avio-traffic of B&H. Lejla is originally from Eastern B&H.

We wish all the best to Lejla, and we thank her for overcoming prejudices. We are hoping that she will be the reason for other girls to follow their dreams.
