agrokomerc1After the citizens’ initiative and launching the production in Dita factory in Tuzla, citizens of B&H are waking up from a long term sleeping and starting to fight for themselves and their property. Namely, a Facebook page Dignimo Agrokomerc po uzoru na Ditu was established two days ago and already has more than 3 500 likes.

“We have a goal to become the biggest association of former workers, shareholders and supporters of Agrokomerc, to collect proposals and ideas for its revitalization, to jointly make decisions and be an initiation on their procurement. We ask all people to share this page and an least on that way contribute to raising awareness of citizens that everything is possible when people join together. This was shown the best by united workers of Dita who realized that it is the only way to success and that only them can help themselves. If you share this idea and think that it is possible to rise Agrokomerc from the ashes, SHARE THIS PAGE- lets show the Bonian defiance!“, as stated in the site description.

A page was made with the aim for citizens to discuss, present their suggestions, ideas and insights.

Agrokomerc from Velika Kladusa was once an economic giant which the Western part of B&H lived from. It had a staff of around 13 000 workers in 70’s. Until 1986 it has been producing 196 million eggs and 8870 tons of meat annually. Besides that it offered: jams, biscuits and others. Even today, people claim that there is no better Tops (biscuit) that the one from Agrokomerc.

It has disposed with 523 poultry farms that were located at 600 square kilometers. It also had a construction and transport operative.

In the years between 1982 and 1986, an annual rate of production was 10%. Agrokomerc exported goods throughout the Europe. With the approval of JNA, it offered its products to members of NATO.

Now it is a company that does not work and does not have money on account. And it could rise from the ashes thanks to citizens, such as Dita.
