Lithuania, a country that will preside over the EU in the next period, will give its full support to the EU integration of BiH, said that Lithuanian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Vytautas Leskevicius during today’s meeting with the President of the RS National Assembly Igor Radojičić in Banja Luka.

During the meeting, Leskevicius spoke to Radojičić about the general attitudes of Lithuania when it comes to the EU integration of BiH, especially keeping in mind that Lithuania, as an EU member state, will take over the chairmanship of the Council of Europe on 1 July 2013.

Radojičić spoke of the efforts by the RS and its leaders in finding a resolution to the “Sejdić-Finci” ruling and the further progress of BIH towards EU integration.

He also pointed out that the RS government is already actively working on the harmonization of the national legal system and practices with the European legal heritage and standards.

They agreed that it is necessary to invest more efforts to find a resolution of this and other issues.

The Prime Minister of the RS Željka Cvijanović spoke with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania.
