Sarajevo – the biggest celebrities from the movie world run the SFF program entitled “Talents” and one of them is Croatian actor Leon Lučev.
I participate in this program 8 years and for the last two years I am working with students, mainly on communication between directors and actors. – said Lučev for FENA.
“If SFF represents a heart, than I believe that the “Talents” program represents “the heart of the heart” because it is a place where new talents grow. There is already a well tried path how to get to the competition of SFF with your first live action film and the “Talents” program is surely the start of it all.” – he pointed out.
He believes that SFF is the biggest regional festival and that it has great importance because it is an opportunity for the producers, directors and actors from all around Europe to meet.
“If you want to make a movie, you can learn all it takes for it at the SFF.” – said Lučev.
When it comes to situation at the Croatian cinematography, Lučev said that Croatia currently has the most stable movie fund which really started to give some serious results for the past two years.
“The results of a serious work e.g. of investing into the script, the whole process of movie making and productions began to arrive. It took time for that, to be more precise, it took ten years and now we have results of which I am very proud and I believe this is just the beginning.” – said Lučev.
Concerning the film “On the road” by Jasmila Žbanić, Lučev said that every comedy gets double reviews and that the critics mostly focus on her previous films like for example “Grbavica”.
“So, this film is like some sort of a shock to them, I think” – concluded Lučev.
