The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, yesterday opened for public visits the two large medieval towers of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which is one of the last steps in its reconstruction after the devastating fire in 2019.

Citizens will once again be able to climb the 424 steps to enjoy the unrivaled view of Paris.

The reopening of the towers marks another milestone in the enormous process of restoration, which is still ongoing, although the cathedral was reopened on December 7th, 2024, at a ceremony attended by Donald Trump, a few weeks before assuming the presidential office.

Macron was given the honor of being the first person to tour the restored towers.

Visitors will enjoy a tour that lasts about 45 minutes, starting in the south tower with the ascent to the belfry, before reaching the terraces that will take them past the two main bells of the cathedral. The tour ends with the descent through the north tower.
