ski_staza_paleAt the departure point on the future ‘Majnex’ gondolas Pale-Jahorina ‘Jahorina Express’, a project that is worth around 60 million BAM, the ski slope and ski lift were installed, with a capacity of 800 skiers and hour.

The new ski center is located 2.5 km from the center of Pale, and 600 meters from the main road Sarajevo, Pale-Stambulčić-Prača, has parking space for 500 cars and 35 buses and is situated at an altitude of 920 meters.

The ski trail is 1200 meters long, with a vertical drop of 290 meters and meets the requirements of even the most demanding maintenance of ski racing and has all the characteristics of a track for a World Cup.

The works are in the final stages at the hospitality facility that will have a restaurant, ski rental and repair service, and is found at the foot of the ski slopes and is part of the gondola project.

‘’We believe that extreme temperatures for this period will not last long and that a blanket of snow will soon cover our mountains, and we hope that the new ski center will be in function and will satisfy many fans of white trails’’, said Majnex.

In the future, they plan to set up a system for artificial snow, and Majnx said that this could be done by next season, so skiing will be possible even if there is not enough snow.
