Major Police Operation in the Old Town in Sarajevo

Police officers of the Department for the fight against the abuse of narcotic drugs, under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Sarajevo, carried out the operation codenamed “Divan” with the aim of documenting the criminal acts of illegal traffic in narcotic drugs.

In the searches that were carried out in the area of ​​the Old Town in Sarajevo, the following were found and confiscated: 62 (sixty-two) PVC packages containing a brown substance, which in its appearance is associated with the narcotic drug heroin; two PVC packages containing a brown substance that looks like heroin, gross weight about 153.00 grams; a certain amount of money; other items of interest for the investigation.

A.R., born in 1975 in Sarajevo, where he lives, was arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs (Article 238, paragraph 1, CC FBIH).

After the criminal investigation, the suspect will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the acting prosecutor, announced the CS MoI.
