In 2017, the number of imported used cars increased, compared with the year before, while the number of new ones stagnated. Last year, a total of 67.834 cars were imported, out of which 56.873 were used and 10.961 new vehicles.

Since 2010, the number of imported cars has increased. Thus, in 2017, 70.976 cars were imported, out of which 60.079 were used and 10.897 were new cars, while that number was considerably smaller seven years ago, so in 2010 there were 32.695 cars. Out of this number, there were 9.550 new cars, and 23.145 used cars.

Due to the number of imported cars, in proportion to the quantity, the total value of imported cars has increased. In 2010, almost 385 million BAM and toll of 77.7 million BAM were counted, while last year, cars with a total value of more than 836 million BAM were imported, for which 184.7 million BAM of toll was paid.

According to the data, there is a noticeable increase in imports of new cars. Last year, 10.897 new cars were imported, and a similar number was in 2016, with 10.961 cars, which is almost twice as many as in 2015 and 2014 (5.672 and 5.983).

The number of imported used cars has risen steadily over the last four years. In 2017, 60.079 cars were imported, and the year before there were 67.834 imported cars. To compare, in 2010, 32.695 cars were imported, which is more than twice less than in the last year.

The most expensive imported car in BiH last year was the Ferrari 488 Spider F142, for which the owner gave 386.200.13 BAM.
