cormak1The new Ambassador of the United States to Bosnia and Herzegovina Maureen Cormack swore yesterday in Washington a solemn oath before her arrival, Patria reported.

During the appointment of Maureen Cormack as our ambassador, President Obama reiterated his commitment to our strong bilateral ties, said Undersecretary Patrick Kennedy.

Her imminent arrival is expected in the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Until then the jobs will be still performed by Nicholas Hill. BiH has long been without an US ambassador, after Patrick Moon left in August 2013. In addition to BiH, also dozens of other countries around the world had no US Ambassador, which was finally resolved in the Senate end November.
