ljubo beslic2The delegation of Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), which has in the past two days held its annual conference in Sarajevo, visited Mostar on Saturday.

Mayor of Mostar Ljubo Bešlić received the European bankers in the City Hall and has taken the opportunity to express gratitude for the support in realizing numerous projects in the city on the Neretva river.

“Let me remind you that CEB, with a million dollars of grant funds, helped the restoration of the Old Bridge, helped in the realization of reconstructing the Mostar Gymnasium, and were remarkably engaged in donor conferences for rebuilding devastated buildings across B&H, including Mostar”, said Bešlić in his statement for the press.

He added that he hopes that CEB will continue to support B&H and help the citizens of this country.

“Building sustainable peace on these grounds is a process which has no alternative, whereas peace and prosperity can only be built cooperatively, and not separated from each other or by each other. That is especially important for young people that now need to integrate, meet each other and socialize”. – concluded mayor Bešlić.
