McDonald’s is closing its Restaurants in BiH

It was confirmed yesterday that the global fast food chain McDonald’s stopped operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) last night and will close its restaurants in Sarajevo and Mostar until further notice.

McDonalds had its three restaurants in Sarajevo (Titova ulica, Nedzarici and Sip) and two in Mostar (TC Mepas and M-17). They were opened for customers until last night, and they are closed from today.

This news will surely sadden many fans of fast food prepared in McDonald’s kitchen. Only hope remains that the license issues will be resolved and business will continue.

It is interesting that in the middle of this month, McDonald’s renovated a restaurant in the Sarajevo settlement Nedzarici, with a completely new concept and design.

To recall, the first McDonald’s restaurant in Sarajevo was opened on July 20th, 2011, and the first hamburger in this restaurant was officially eaten by former mayor Alija Behmen, making BiH the 118th country in the large food chain that employs millions of people, Klix.ba reports.
