Šemsudin Mehmedović, a representative of the SDA in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was a guest on the show “Jutro za sve” and spoke about leaving the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and the formation of a new political platform.
“The time has come for the formation of a new political bloc,” said Šemsudin Mehmedović.
“I would put it differently. I am not important in all this, but how BiH will get out of this vicious political circle in which it found itself due to a series of circumstances, first of all because of Dayton as it is, because of the constitutional and legal framework imposed on us, because of geopolitical circumstances which concern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Accordingly, the time has come for a completely new approach in the political organization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and of course this requires new people, new politics and of course a new strategy. That is why I say that for the past few weeks a political team has been working intensively he is making program documents of new political options, so to speak, actually it is based on the political platform that I announced earlier, it is a new Bosnian policy that will offer a completely different approach to organizing political reality in BiH in general and of course the democratization of political parties in BiH which is absolutely necessary in order to talk about any serious political turn in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Mehmedović.
During the conversation with Zvonko Komšić, Mehmedović also said that “the left got a chance and is now going from mistake to mistake”.
“Parties to the right of the center had an opportunity. Now a large space is opening up in the political center and it is an opportunity for people to wake up. The party will be civic-oriented,” underlined Mehmedović.
Komšić had an interesting question, “Which of the people will be in the party”, and Mehmedović said that it would be known and refused to name specific names.
“As far as I know, Denis Bećirović is still formally a member of the SDP and nothing needs to be changed while he is a member of the BiH Presidency,” Mehmedović emphasized.
