The third competition day of the European ITF Taekwondo Championship for juniors and seniors was marked by a gala evening where the champion of the Old Continent was decided in four categories.

Unfortunately, our junior national team member Melina Ružnić did not manage to win a gold medal.

On her way to the title of continental champion in the category up to 61 kilograms, she was stopped by a representative of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Ružnić recorded three triumphs during the second competition day, defeating the national teams of Denmark, Bulgaria and Ireland in turn.

Today’s program at the European ITF Taekwondo Championship was marked by fights in the senior competition. The most notable performance was by Faris Svraka in the category up to 81 kilograms. The defeat that came after two opening victories denied the national team member the opportunity to fight for a medal, and he finished the competition in fifth place.

The European ITF Taekwondo Championships for Juniors and Seniors, which began on April 24th, will conclude tomorrow with the team competitions. The competition on Sunday starts at 9 am at Arena Hills in Ilidža, and as in previous days, admission is free for all visitors, Klix.ba writes.
