Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Jassim Ali Al-Thani, a member of the royal family of Qatar, announced significant investments in several projects in BiH at a meeting with the director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) Gordan Milinic and his associates, which was held on the 18th of August 2016.
Sheikh. Al-Thani expressed the greatest interest for projects in transport infrastructure sector with special emphasis on airports in BiH and projects related to enlargement of airports, as well as projects in the field of tourism, food industry and the metal sector.
He was informed about the work of FIPA and its cooperation with relevant institutions in BiH, as well as the conditions for foreign investments in BiH and available projects.
Mr. Milinic invited Sheikh Al-Thani to assist in animating investors from Qatar to invest money in BiH and thus contribute to employment of BH citizens, since BiH has projects for which investors from this country are very interested.
The most important investment from Qatar in BiH is related to the project Al Jazeera Network Sarajevo. The realization of the project of sports and tourist center in Bugojno which will be realized by the company Biser Rostova is planned as well, while the interest and investments in the real estate sector are increased.
Sheikh Al-Thani announced another visit to BiH next month with concrete investments proposals and he will be accompanied by several major investors from Qatar. He received the currently available investment projects and promised all necessary help for the successful implementation of the investments.
